Museum Photo of the Week
Skyscraper Museum

Photograph by Rob Pongsajapan (aka rpongsaj)

‘The Skyscraper Museum in New York City. Just about every surface in this museum is mirrored, giving the space an expansive feel. In reality, it‘s quite small. The space was designed by Roger Duffy of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill’

Lovely photo and description Rob. Thanks!

Thanks, Lisa!

A bit more background: The man who is so kindly providing some perspective in my photo was the cashier at the museum bookstore. The bookstore is located right at the entrance, and that's where you purchase admission to the museum, too. I had already gotten my ticket and walked down the hallway leading to the exhibit space when he walked out from behind the counter and looked out the front doors, completing my shot.

Thanks for the extra info Rob! The cashier really gives a sense of scale to the picture.
