Dawn Casey Interview on Radio National

Although I've never met Dawn Casey, the CEO of the Western Australian Museum, (I have spoken to her very briefly over the phone regarding my dissertation!), she is one of my museum heroes and a woman I have a great admiration for.

This interview of Dawn Casey, which aired last Sunday, is quite inspiring. Here's a teaser:

'Dawn Casey has worked in the Prime Minister's department and represented Australia on various United Nations delegations. She helped establish the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, and she's currently director of the WA Museum. So how did a little barefoot Aboriginal bush kid from North Queensland beat the odds? And how has she survived unembittered, after the high drama and politics of her time as director at the birth of the National Museum of Australia in 2001?'

You can download the interview of Dawn Casey from the Radio National Site.
